The MCA Dongba House Holiday Inn ( Dongba haosi jiari kezhan ) is the MCA chain's guesthouse in Lijiang (see Dali MCA Guesthouse for reference). This budget guesthouse has cheap and clean accommodation and in a dorm room start from a mere RMB10. A double room wil set you back about RMB40. Due to the restrictions resulting from  the structure of the traditional Naxi courtyard architecture, guestrooms do not have private bathrooms, but public showers are available with 24hr hot water. The guesthouse has an adorable cafe with a comprehensive menu containing numerous great western dishes as well as Chinese and Naxi food. The food is all good and reasonably priced. The staff at the cafe and the guesthouse are all friendly and helpful Naxi people who actually speak some good English. Besides dining and lodging, the guesthouse also offers a full range of travel related services. In fact, the owner of the guesthouse is always a good source of travel information since he himself is a famous Yunnan/Tibet travel expert. There are countless photos of Tibet and Yunnan decorating the place and staff will help book tickets and arrange tours. The guesthous internet cafe has some of the best equipment in town.
